Fabinho about his first season at Liverpool: "I think I became an important part of the team"

Last summer, Fabinho, who joined the Liverpool team, experienced a tumultuous season. Initially, Jurgen Klopp had a hard time finding a place for the Brazilian in midfield, but later he became a very important figure in the midfield position. Fabinho himself summarized his first season at Liverpool, saying that it was good, and the transitional period is inevitable when changing clubs. "I think my first season at Liverpool was successful. I knew that adaptation was waiting for me. It didn't take long, but I remember that at the beginning it wasn't easy when I had to miss a few matches. Although I told myself to be patient and work hard, it is not easy to accept that you are not playing in matches. But all of that is now in the past and later I received more playing time. The more you play, the more you can enjoy football. I think I became an important part of the team, and the coach could choose from more options. It was really a good season," Fabinho said in an interview with the official club website. The 25-year-old Brazilian did not spare kind words for his teammate Sadio Mane. "He is just an amazing player. It seems like he never gets tired and is constantly playing with the same intensity and maintaining the necessary focus. Mane is a versatile player. He can make both short and long passes, and also is able to organize attacks excellently. Sadio is a great player who is currently in great form, and that is very important for him," Fabinho praised his teammate. During his first season in the ranks of Liverpool, the midfielder played 41 matches and scored one goal.
