This season, Brazilian defender, plagued by misfortunes, once again was unlucky - he suffered another injury. Due to this injury, the 24-year-old left-back Brazilian will have to miss at least a month, but it is likely that this season he will not appear on the field at all, unwilling to take risks.

Aurelio suffered a knee injury last season, in which he scored 8 goals in over 25 matches. Many of them came in the second part of the season, when coach Rafa Benitez tried him in a different role - allowed him to play as a left-back. In this position, he played in the 2-1 winning match against La Coruna, in which the Brazilian scored both goals. His other goals flew into the nets of other clubs.

Aurelio, a favorite among Valencia fans, was operated on in July last year and had to undergo a long rehabilitation course. In November, the team, wanting to help, even allowed him to return home to Brazil for almost a month.

At one point, there were even doubts whether the player would have to end his career, but the determined defender overcame the entire rehabilitation program and returned to the field this season with "Deportivo," replacing Amedeo Carboni in the second half. Many spectators in the stadium applauded him when he stepped on.

For the Valencia team, Aurelio's loss after playing only 36 minutes this season is a painful blow, as there are only two left-back defenders in the squad: 38-year-old Amedeo Carboni and the aforementioned Fabio Aurelio.
