"Barcelona" defender Cesc Fabregas and his former agent Joseba Diaz will clarify their relationship in court, reports the Spanish portal teinteresa.es. According to the announcement, the agent who previously represented the football player has filed a lawsuit against his former client for allegedly "not complying with the agreement terms". If the conflicting parties do not reach a peaceful agreement, which seems unlikely, C. Fabregas and J. Diaz will have to attend a court session in the city of Bilbao. In 2003, J. Diaz convinced the then star of the "Barcelona" youth academy to leave the Catalan club and sign a contract with London's "Arsenal". C. Fabregas was represented by the English team until the summer of 2011. Two years ago, the football player decided to part ways with J. Diaz and entrusted his interests to Englishman Darren Dein, whose father David is a former vice president of "Arsenal". It is claimed that the former agent of C. Fabregas is demanding financial compensation from the defender for losses and the premature termination of the contract. The amount requested by J. Diaz is not currently specified. In a similar situation, another "Barcelona" football player found himself in a legal battle this March. Forward David Villa sued his former agent Jose Luis Tamargo. He demanded a compensation of up to 6 million euros from the player for the premature termination of the contract. The lawsuit was resolved in David Villa's favor in the court of the city Aviles in the Asturias region."
