Failure of G. Arlauskis's club and two postponed matches in the Europa League

Today are played UEFA Europa League penultimate round matches. In them - a few surprises, as well as two matches were stopped.

In the only played match of Group E, the leader Moscow's "Dynamo" celebrated victory and secured a place in the next stage. Despite falling behind after the first half, the Russians managed to overcome Athens' "Panathinaikos", who had only won one point so far. The match ended with a score of 2-1. The match between "Estoril" and Eindhoven's "PSV" was interrupted. By halftime, the score was 3-2 in favor of the hosts. However, the referees, after consulting with UEFA representatives, decided that the weather conditions were too dangerous to continue the match.

In the clash of Group G leaders between Rotterdam's "Feyenoord" and "Sevilla" ended with a victory for the Dutch team playing at home. Goals from Jens Toornstra and Karim El Ahmadi in the second half allowed them to rise to first place. Meanwhile, third-placed "Rijeka" also won with the same result against Liege's "Standard". The Croats have real chances to take second or even first place in the group, while the loss for the Belgian team was decisive.

"Krasnodar" and "Lille" played a 1-1 draw in Group H. The first goal from the Russian club could not be maintained, and Nolanas Roux equalized the score in the second half. In another match, thanks to goals from Romelu Lukaku and Kevin Mirallas, the almost statistically trailing Liverpool's "Everton" won three points against "Wolfsburg" in Germany. The English team secured the first place among the four teams. "Lille" can still challenge the Germans based on points.

In Group I, point-less Bratislava's "Slovan" lost 1-3 at home to Bern's "Young Boys", while the leaders in the group, Prague's "Sparta", also at home reached a draw with "Napoli". The Italians lead with 10 points, the Czech team has the same, and the Swiss team has one less.

In Denmark, the home team "Aalborg" represented by the injured Lukas Spalvis faced Giedrius Arlauskas' Bucharest "Steaua". The hosts managed to win with a minimal result and rise to second place, pushing the opponents to third. Group J leader Kiev's "Dynamo" secured a place in the next stage by beating the underdog "Rio Ave" with a 2-0 victory.

In Group K, Salonika's "PAOK" winning 2-0 away against Minsk's "Dinamo" allowed them to equal points with the "Fiorentina" team, who lost at home by a score of 1-2 to "Guingamp". The Italians have already secured first place, and the latter teams, with the same number of points, balance on the edge of the next stage.

In Group L, leader Warsaw's "Legia" lost 0-1 away to "Lokeren", who secured minimal chances to move on. The Poles are now calm about the future of the tournament, but they are not sure if they will take first place. Meanwhile, "Trabzonspor" defeated Kharkov's "Metalist" 3-1 and strengthened their position in second place.

The matches that started later were no less intense. In Group A, "Zurich" defeated Limassol's "Apollon" 3-1 and kept their chances of advancing. After the draw between "Villarreal" and Monchengladbach's "Borussia" with a score of 2-2, the Swiss club is now one point behind the Spanish team in second place, and two points behind the Germans.

In Group B, Helsinki's "HJK" kept their hopes alive to advance by beating "Kobenhavn" 2-1 at home. The two teams in the first two places also played a draw and allowed the Finns to get closer. Brugge's "Club" now has nine points, "Torino" - eight, and "HJK" - six. The Danish team with four points will no longer rise above the third position.

Group C ended with a 2-2 draw between Tripoli's "Asteras" and Istanbul's "Besiktas". The Greeks had the opportunity to get closer to the Turkish team in second place by one point, but after the draw, the teams are already separated by four points, and it is clear that "Besiktas" will advance to the Round of 16. Together with them, Belgrade's Partizan, who defeated London's "Tottenham" with a minimal result, will also move on. The match was temporarily halted due to fans running onto the field.

In Group D, there was less intrigue. The first two teams advancing were already clear. Salzburg's "Red Bull" secured first place. The Austrian club defeated Glasgow's "Celtic" 3-1 away and pushed the Scots down a level. Giurgiu's "Astra" moved up to third place by defeating Zagreb's "Dinamo" with a score of 1-0.

In Group F, the Milan "Inter" players secured the first place. With a 2-1 result at the "San Siro" stadium, they defeated Dnepropetrovsk's "Dnipro". "Saint-Etienne" played a draw of 1-1 with "Karabakh" in the next match. The situation among these four teams is quite complicated. The French team currently ranks second with five points, but "Karabakh" has the same number, with the Ukrainians trailing by just one.
