After a little over two weeks, we won't see any famous football players in the upcoming World Cup due to injuries.
Germany's national team striker Timo Werner has now joined the already quite long list of injured footballers.
The 26-year-old football player suffered a knee injury and will not play until the end of this year.
"It's very painful, but I will spend the next few weeks without football. Unfortunately, I will support the German national team and 'RB Leipzig' from my couch," wrote T. Werner on the social network "Twitter".
