Traveling football fans who will want to refresh with beer or other alcoholic drinks during the World Cup in Qatar will have to significantly expand their wallet.
As reported by the portal "iNews", many fans have put aside thoughts of supporting their beloved national teams in the tiny Middle Eastern state.
One of the main reasons is the looming huge expenses for accommodation and entertainment.
For example, Qatar can boast some of the highest alcohol prices in the world.
During the sports festivities, fans will have the opportunity to watch various countries' matches at Doha's sports bars, but, for example, will have to pay 48 pounds (200 Qatari riyals) just for entry to the "Marriott Sports Bar."
This amount will also include three drinks - bottles of beer or glasses of wine.
Once the World Cup knockout matches begin, prices will increase even more and fans will have to shell out 180 pounds for entry to the bar. In the semi-finals and final, this amount will rise to 240 pounds, meaning that the price of one drink will reach up to 80 pounds.
