Good news for football fans – the Lithuanian national football team’s matches will once again be broadcast on LRT.

Viewers will be able to watch the Lithuanian players in international tournaments and support our team starting this fall. The agreement between LRT and UEFA stipulates that the Lithuanian national football team will be featured on LRT screens at least until 2028.

"The return of broadcasts of national team matches to the LRT channels is one of the happiest pieces of news ahead of the upcoming Nations League cycle. Even more importantly, this is a long-term agreement, so fans will again be able to watch national team matches for free and easily. Considering that LRT also broadcasts matches from our top league, it can be said that Lithuanian football is again on national broadcaster's airwaves,” said LFF president Edgaras Stankevičius.

"In the past couple of years, some viewers faced challenges in watching the matches of the Lithuanian national football team on television. However, this situation has ended. Those who cannot come to the stadiums to support our footballers will be able to do so by watching the LRT broadcasts,” said LRT sports journalist Ramūnas Grumbinas.

LRT viewers will have the opportunity to follow the performances of the Lithuanian team in the UEFA Nations League and qualifying matches for the World and European Championships.

The first challenge for the Lithuanian national football team awaits in the UEFA Nations League, with a match against players from Cyprus taking place on September 6. The match will be held at the Darius and Girėnas Stadium in Kaunas and will be broadcast live on the LRT PLIUS channel and on the portal LRT.lt starting at 18:45.
