Karim Benzema officially leaves Madrid's "Real" team after 14 years.
The Frenchman said his final words at a farewell ceremony, which was without journalists, but with teammates and other legends.
At this moment, it is hard to speak. It is a sad day. I am leaving my club.. I always said that I would end my career here, but such words do not always come true. I will always watch "Real" matches.
Thank you to President Perez for inviting me here. I will never forget that. Madrid's "Real" is the best club, but now it's time to leave.
I am who I am because of this club, thank you very much to everyone. Madrid's "Real" will always remain my family.
"As I said from the very first day, one, two, three, Hala Madrid!", - K. Benzema said his final words at the farewell ceremony.
In 14 years, the striker scored 354 goals, made 165 assists, and won 25 trophies representing the "Real" team.
