After 613 played matches and 14 years spent at the club, Steve Mandanda officially leaves Marseille's "Olympique". On Wednesday, Marseille officially announced that they are parting ways with the club legend, who contributed to winning several trophies. S. Mandanda won one Ligue 1 championship title, three League Cup titles, and two French Super Cups during his career with Marseille. The goalkeeper represented the team from 2008 to 2016 and later from 2017 to 2022. Few remember, however, that the Frenchman had a one-season stint in England with Crystal Palace. Truth be told, S. Mandanda's career is not over yet. The goalkeeper is expected to sign a short-term contract with Rennes. The 37-year-old Frenchman bid farewell to Marseille by securing a ticket back to the Champions League battles.
