German football legend and honorary president of Munich's "Bayern" club, Franz Beckenbauer, believes that Dortmund's "Borussia" team leader Marco Reus would be a great addition to Pep Guardiola's team.
The former footballer is also convinced that M. Reus will move to one of the big clubs and Dortmund will not be able to keep him in their ranks.
"I can imagine him in the 'Bayern' ranks. If it is possible to acquire such a class player, we must try to do so. Even if he does not move to the Bavarian team in 2015, I think he will be acquired by 'Real' or 'Manchester United'," said the legendary German.
"Dortmund will probably not be able to keep him on the team. I understand perfectly why they do not like discussions about M. Reus," he added.
Dortmund's club executives reacted angrily to Bayern's representatives' comments about the player's buyout clause, which amounts to 25 million euros.
"This sum was probably not a big secret. All interested teams probably already knew about it," Beckenbauer said.
