F.Capello, who led the Russians to the top of the World Championship, would receive a solid prize.

"Details of Fabio Capello's contract with the Russian Football Union have appeared in the media. The Russian national team coach receives 7 million euros per year and can expect substantial bonuses.

The contract stipulates that the coach will be paid 7 million euros per year, and if the Russians triumph at the 2018 World Cup, which will be held in Russia, the Italian would additionally receive 5 million euros.

The agreement does not allow the contract to be terminated by the Russian Federation, but F. Capello has that option.

The coach faced criticism after the 2014 World Cup, where the Russian national team's performance ended after the group stage matches.

In 2014, there were rumors that the Russians could not afford to pay the Italian coach.

"We have no means to pay the coach's salary. Before signing the contract, we needed to think about how to secure guaranteed funding. Now we will have to look for sources of money," said federation member Sergei Stepashin.

The 67-year-old Italian football specialist has been coaching Russian players since mid-2012. His first contract was for two years.

Throughout his career, F. Capello has coached teams such as the England national team, Real Madrid (Spain), Juventus (Italy), Roma, and Milan (all Italy).
