Stambul’s "Fenerbahce" has confirmed that they have started negotiations for the acquisition of "Liverpool" midfielder Martin Skrtel.
The 31-year-old footballer has been linked with a move to Turkey for several weeks now, and the possibility of a deal was mentioned by the president of the capital club, Aziz Yildirim, at the end of June.
Now, all the details regarding the transfer are expected to be finalized as soon as possible.
Skrtel played 22 matches this season in the "Reds" ranks in the "Premier" league. Overall, since 2008, when he moved from "Zenit" in St. Petersburg, the Slovak has appeared 242 times in the English championship.
