Ferguson: currently, there is no player on the market that we are looking for © EuroFootball.com

Strategist Sir Alex Ferguson insists he does not expect any new footballers to strengthen the club until at least the "Community Shield" match with "Man City."

The traditional season opener between the English champions and the FA Cup winners will take place on August 7 in London.

This summer, the Manchester team has strengthened its ranks with goalkeeper David de Gea, defender Phil Jones, and winger Ashley Young. It was rumored that the "Red Devils" were also looking for a midfielder, with Inter Milan's Dutchman Wesley Sneijder mentioned among the candidates.

However, Ferguson told journalists: "At this moment, I don't think there will be any additions. The type of player we are looking for is not available on the market.

This summer, we lost five players who are in their fourth decade. This allowed us to acquire three young footballers. I am satisfied with the squad we have now."

Earlier, the Scot stated that there would be a search for a replacement for attacking organizer Paul Scholes, who has retired.
