Ferguson: Mourinho reminds me of my youth © EuroFootball.com

Strategist Sir Alex Ferguson admitted that Jose Mourinho reminds him of his younger self.

This can be seen as another sign that the Portuguese, currently coaching in Madrid, is one of the most likely candidates to replace the legendary Ferguson in Manchester when he decides to retire.

"I watch Jose and it seems like I see my reflection in many things he does," said the Scottish in the book "The Secret of Jose Mourinho's Success". "When the Portuguese led London's Chelsea in his first year and ran along the sidelines, I remembered myself jumping and cheering for goals at Aberdeen."

"We are human. We cannot hide our emotions. They are always a part of us, a feature of our character."

Ferguson also said he has no intention to seek reinforcements in January, when the transfer window opens. Recently, there have been calls to sign a central defender to replace Nemanja Vidic, who will be leaving the squad by the end of the season, as well as a creative attacking midfielder.

"It's difficult to buy players in January," the specialist said. "Buying just for the sake of buying doesn't make sense. That's why the winter transfer window does not provide stability and brings many problems. At the moment, I have no candidates."
