FIFA accuses W. Rooney and J. Mourinho © EuroFootball.com

FIFA President Sepp Blatter criticized Wayne Rooney for his recent poor behavior and claims that the striker needs "good counseling".

Rooney's behavior has been in the spotlight since he hurled abusive accusations at Graham Poll during a match against Arsenal last summer.

Blatter also continues to monitor head coach Jose Mourinho, constantly reprimanding him.

The FIFA President insists that coaches should be much more subdued after matches. This is probably a hint regarding Mourinho's controversial comments about the defeat in Barcelona in the Champions League earlier. After these comments, referee Anders Frisk ended his career.

"I am addressing Mourinho and Rooney," said Blatter to the "London Evening Standard" newspaper. "Stars of this high level should feel responsible to their fans, as well as to the game itself. Rooney should receive counseling from the club management. As for Mourinho, he is quiet enough on the sidelines, but should behave much more modestly after matches."

The president added: "In football, you learn to win, but you also must learn to lose. It would be great if Rooney and Mourinho would think about that."
