The incident occurred in the penalty area, when L.Suarez bit G.Chiellini on the shoulder from behind. The referee did not see this offense and the Liverpool forward did not even receive a yellow card. However, L.Suarez cannot rest easy. FIFA announced on Tuesday evening that an investigation will be conducted regarding Suarez's behavior. It is believed that the Uruguayan team leader may face a 2-year ban from FIFA tournaments. The 27-year-old footballer himself denied the bite after the match: "Such things happen constantly in the penalty area. We collided chest to shoulder, and I even got hit in the eye."
