London's "Chelsea" team faces a real threat of being banned from buying new players.
"Daily Mail" reports that FIFA has decided to launch an investigation against the "Blues" team.
It is alleged that the London club may have breached rules by acquiring football players under the age of 18.
If the results of the investigation are unfavorable for "Chelsea", then the team coached by Antonio Conte could lose the right to buy new players for a period of time, just as it happened to Madrid's "Atletico".
However, similar investigations against a "Premier" league club in the past did not yield negative results - the English team was cleared of any wrongdoing in the acquisition of talented Bertrand Traore, and the 2009 verdict (regarding Gael Kakuta) was successfully overturned.
