FIFA has confirmed that they have launched an investigation into the record-breaking transfer of Paul Pogba, which saw the Frenchman move to Manchester United.
The English club paid €105 million for the former Juventus midfielder, but "Football Leaks," the news agency AFP, and other European media outlets claim that agent Mino Raiola was at the center of the whole affair.
Documents related to the player's transfer reportedly show that Pogba's representative earned a staggering £41 million from the entire deal.
"We can confirm that FIFA's ITMS (FIFA Transfer Matching System) has requested information related to this matter," a FIFA spokesperson told Omnisport. "At this time, we have no further comments."
Last summer, Pogba became the most expensive footballer in history, surpassing Gareth Bale's £86 million move to Real Madrid.
