The star of the Portuguese national team Luis Figo believes that the upcoming season in the ranks of Madrid will be his last.

Figo, who has been playing for Real Madrid for five years, has a contract with the royal club that still has a year left, with the possibility of extending it for another season. Figo himself revealed to journalists that Real Madrid does not take any action to extend the contract, but assured that he will "give his all to the club in the upcoming season."

"The latest information I received from my agent is that Real Madrid does not want to extend the contract with me for another season," Figo said. "For this reason, in December, I will have to start thinking about my future, but until then, I will give all my efforts to the club."

The 31-year-old Portuguese joined Real Madrid from their fiercest rival, Barcelona, in 2000 for a then-record sum of £37 million.
