For the first time in the entire history of the Catalan club, its revenue exceeded half a billion euros.
This was announced by the vice president of economics at "Barcelona", Javier Faus, who also presented other key financial indicators of the past season.
According to one of the leaders of the Catalan team, "Barcelona's" revenue for the past financial year reached an unprecedented height of 530 million euros. This is a club record of all time. The most revenue "Barca" had received so far was in the 2011-2012 season - 495 million euros.
In the past season, "Barcelona's" expenses amounted to 489 million euros, which means that the Catalan club made a net profit of 41 million euros. This is the second best indicator in the entire history of the team. The highest profit - 49 million euros - "Barca" had received two years ago, in 2012.
As J. Fausas said, the Catalan club continues to successfully reduce its short-term and long-term debts.
In 2013-2014, "Barcelona's" debt decreased by 44 million euros and now totals 287 million euros in total. Just four years ago, the club's debts were 431 million euros.
"Now the club is financially stronger than it has ever been," - noted vice president J. Fausas.
