The Italian Serie A round was opened by a match between Fiorentina and Juventus. The match in Florence ended peacefully - 1:1. In the 9th minute, Arkadiusz Milik put the visitors from Turin ahead. Christian Kouame responded with a goal in the 29th minute. Just before half-time, Luka Jovic had a great chance to turn the score from the penalty spot, but the Serbian's shot hit the goal frame. Fiorentina looked much more confident in the match, but they failed to secure a victory.
