"Flamengo" paid a staggering 20 million euros for their former player Gerson, who is arriving after a spell at Marseille's "Olympique" club.

The 25-year-old attacking midfielder, who spent two seasons at Marseille, scored 11 goals and made 4 assists in two seasons in the "Ligue 1" championship.

Gerson has also previously played for "Fluminese", "Roma", and "Fiorentina" clubs.

In two seasons at "Flamengo" club, the Brazilian scored 3 goals and made 6 assists.
