Former London "Chelsea" club defender Frank Lampard has officially signed a contract with "New York City" team, where the Englishman will join midfielder David Villa.
It is reported that the newly formed club will pay 113 thousand euros per week to the 36-year-old footballer, and the agreement was reached in June.
Lampard spent 13 years as a defender in the ranks of "Chelsea", during which he played more than 600 matches, scored more than 200 goals, and made more than 150 assists.
Together with the team, F. Lampard became the English champion three times, lifted the FA Cup four times, and won the English League Cup three times. He also triumphed in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League once each with "Chelsea".
Meanwhile, "Chelsea" defender Lucas Piazon, who still belongs to the club, was loaned out for one season to Frankfurt's "Eintracht" team.
The 20-year-old Brazilian was previously loaned to "Malaga" and "Vitesse" teams. The young footballer moved to "Chelsea" in 2012 from the "Sao Paulo" club.
