On the second day of Christmas, London's "Chelsea" fans, who were expecting an easy victory against the "Southampton" team, had to leave the "Stamford Bridge" arena with sad faces.
The "Blues" admitted a 0:2 defeat to their opponents, and the home team coach Frank Lampard had to find reasons for the loss.
"It felt the same as the last few games. The opponents were well organized, and we need to try harder to break down their teams," Lampard said.
"I think we need to be better than today. So, we will need to speed up the learning process.
We are not creating enough chances, as we did at the beginning of the season. There are many questions arising at the moment, but we are not trying to answer them.
For example, against "Tottenham" we had space for breakthroughs, unlike today. Of course, I think that situation would have suited us better at the beginning of the season.
We play well in away matches, but we need to make it harder for opponents to play in our arena," Lampard concluded.
