Following in C. Marchisio's footsteps: J. Terry will also compete in Russia

John Terry will leave England for the first time in his career - the defender will soon start playing in the Russian Premier League.

According to Sky Sports Italy, the 37-year-old veteran is undergoing a medical check-up at Moscow's Spartak club. The Englishman will sign a one-year contract with them.

J. Terry became a free agent after ending his contract with Aston Villa, where he played the whole last season.

The Englishman almost spent his whole career wearing Chelsea's jersey, but in 2017 he parted ways with the Blues.

Not long ago, another famous football name moved to Russia - Claudio Marchisio joined Zenit.
