For hitting the penalties, Neymar is offering 1 million euros to PSG owner E. Cavani

"Paris Saint-Germain" president Nasser El-Khelaifi gave instructions to the club administration to offer Edinson Cavani a more lucrative contract. The striker would receive more money if he agreed to let Neymar take penalties from the 11-meter mark.

According to "El Pais", the proposed deal also included more conditions - the Uruguayan would also have to become the top scorer of the team in the "Ligue 1" championship. Although he had already scored as many goals in the first seven league matches, the striker rejected the offer.

The president's offer was a response to the conflict that occurred last week during the match against "Lyon", where Cavani did not allow Neymar to take a penalty kick from the 11-meter mark and later missed it.

In addition, although it did not receive much attention, the PSG star duo had a similar disagreement during a previous match against "Saint-Etienne".

The team's coach Unai Emery tried to publicly resolve the disputes by stating that he would decide who takes the penalty kicks, but this did not bear any fruit.

According to "El Pais", the atmosphere in the PSG dressing room is still tense and not even Neymar's apology has improved it. The unity in the team is now being attempted to be restored by captains Thiago Silva and Thiago Motta.

It seems that the majority of players are on Cavani's side, as they are not happy that due to the 222 million euro transfer of Neymar, they had to include not only some of themselves but also already departed talented players in the list of players to be sold.

In an attempt to comply with UEFA Financial Fair Play regulations, PSG would have been willing to say goodbye to Angel Di Maria, Javier Pastore, Lucas Moura, Julian Draxler, Hatem Ben Arfa, and Thiago Silva, and this summer they were joined by Blaise Matuidi and Serge Aurier.
