For the first time in the World Championship, there will be female referees © JumpStory

December of this year will see the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Teams and referees are preparing for this event. FIFA presented the list of referees who will work at the World Cup on Thursday. Interestingly, for the first time in the World Cup, female referees will be present. Three female referees are included in the list: Stephanie Frappart (France), Salima Mukansanga (Rwanda), and Yoshimi Yamashita (Japan). The list also includes three female assistant referees. Up until now, only men have officiated at the men's World Cup. S. Frappart has also refereed matches for the Lithuanian national team when our country's representatives had to acknowledge Northern Ireland's advantage at home.
