"Madrid dismisses rumors that Diego Forlan may be sold.
The leader of the Uruguayan national team shone in the recently concluded World Cup and was recognized as the best player in the tournament.
"We know nothing about any interested team. Nobody has called us, so we are calm," said Atletico's president Enrique Cerezo.
"We have no goal to sell players. Diego is happy here, so it will be best if nothing changes."
Forlan's contract with Atletico is still valid for three more years.
