In the month of October, Inter will have to do without the injured forward Diego Forlan, reports the news agency Ansa.
The 32-year-old Uruguayan got injured in this week's World Cup qualifying match against Paraguay. The game ended in a 1-1 draw.
Initially it was thought that the injury was not serious, but after thorough examinations, doctors predict at least four weeks of rehabilitation.
Forlan will miss about seven matches for Inter, including the game against Juventus in the Italian championship and two Champions League matches against Lille.
