After the end of the first round of the European League, it became clear what the tournament tree in the knockout stage might look like.

Manchester United and Tottenham finished 3rd and 4th, respectively, in the "league phase," so their potential opponents are the same: Galatasaray, Real Sociedad, Midtjylland, or AZ Alkmaar.
