Former "Barcelona" president S. Rosell could go to jail

Foggy deal of acquiring Brazilian football star Neymar does not give peace to the "Barcelona" club and its former president Sandro Rosell. The Spanish law enforcement continues to investigate tax violations and demands that one of the former club leaders spend 4 months in prison.

According to "Cadena Ser," the Spanish Ministry of Finance additionally fined the club another 8.8 million euros for the violations.

The total amount of sanctions has already reached 22 million euros, as the Catalan club had previously paid 13.3 million euros.

The 50-year-old businessman S. Rosell stepped down from his post in January 2014, but he is the one facing the biggest blame for the murky deal.

The scandal erupted when the "Barcelona" club concealed the true acquisition price of Neymar in order to pay less taxes. S. Rosell claimed that the Brazilian cost 57.1 million euros, but it later turned out that the expenses amounted to 95 million.
