Former well-known Italian footballer Fabrizio Miccoli will have to get used to a hard prison bed. It is reported that the 42-year-old Italian failed in the Highest Court and will have to spend three years and six months behind bars. Having played ten matches for his country's national team and represented clubs such as Turin's Juventus and Fiorentina, F. Miccoli was found guilty of illegal debt collection. F. Miccoli, in an attempt to recover a loan of 12,000 euros, called on the son of mafia boss Antonino Calderone, Mauro Lauricella, for help. According to the media, by using mafia methods to retrieve the money, F. Miccoli got himself into trouble and no court dared to acquit the former athlete.
