Former Italian national team strategist C. Prandelli will lead the "Galatasaray" team.

Italian national team head coach Cesare Prandelli, who has left his post, will now work in Turkey.

The 56-year-old specialist has signed a two-year contract with Istanbul's Galatasaray club and will replace Roberto Mancini.

The Turkish team started negotiations with the coach after he decided to leave the position of head coach of the Italian national team following "Squadra Azzurri's" failure to advance past the group stage in the World Cup.

C.Prandelli led the country's national team for three years. In 2012, the coach led the team to the final of the European Championship, where the Italians were defeated by the Spanish national team.

In the past, this specialist has also worked with "Fiorentina", "Parma", "Hellas Verona", and other smaller Italian clubs.
