Athlete's career can sometimes be determined by even a small detail or an unexpected coincidence.
Former "Juventus" player Vincent Pericardas could confirm that, as his career did not unfold as expected in the famous Italian club.
According to the Frenchman, the main reason for this was a random message.
Joining "Juventus" in 2000, V. Pericardas did not establish himself in the "Serie A" team, later playing for "Portsmouth" and other little-known clubs.
"My life outside the pitch was scandalous. Myself and two other players from France were learning Italian language taught by a beautiful lecturer.
One evening, we decided to send her a message and invite her to have a drink together. An hour later, my phone rang - "Juventus" vice president Roberto Bettega called. Turns out, that woman was his girlfriend.
Eventually, I was sent to England," Pericardas confessed.
"A fateful message ruined my career in the "Juventus" team. If not for this incident, I have no doubt that everything would have turned out completely differently."
