The former director of "Liverpool" Christian Purslow is convinced that the newly freed head coach position at Real Madrid will not tempt Jurgen Klopp.
This week, the football community was surprised by Zinedine Zidane's statement that he is leaving the position of Real's head coach. Since then, there have been speculations in the press about who could replace the Frenchman, who led Real to three consecutive Champions League titles.
However, C. Purslow has no doubt that the new manager will not be J. Klopp, but it could be Mauricio Pochettino.
"The main difference, I think, is that in the last 5, 10, 15 or 20 years, the wealth of the Premier League does not provide any economic reasons for moving from England to Real," Purslow said.
"Ultimately, the decision is made based on prestige, trophies, and the potential that situation offers. There is no chance that Jurgen Klopp will be seduced by such a move, especially after this season.
"However, I'm not as confident about Pochettino. I saw his comments and he did not deny anything," Purslow concluded.
