Former "Monaco" vice president Vadimas Vasiljevas revealed that Kylian Mbappe could have moved to Madrid's "Real" club as early as 2017.
Vasiljevas claims that K. Mbappe decided to accept the offer from Paris Saint-Germain not for financial reasons, but because he wanted to continue playing in his homeland.
"Mbappe said he wanted to become a great footballer in Paris, and that Real Madrid would have to wait. He did not make a mistake in accepting the PSG offer, because sooner or later Real will knock on his door again. He himself said that Real is still waiting for him," - said K. Mbappe's former vice president at "Monaco" on the "Telefoot" show.
"Last week we talked to Kylian and I told him the same thing. I also added that now he is already a superstar and the Santiago Bernabeu stadium will go crazy during his presentation.
He knows he won't have to prove anything anymore when he arrives in Madrid. His goal has always been to prove his worth in his own city, in his comfort zone, and only then move to the dream club: Real Madrid," added Vasiljevas.
K. Mbappe still has a two-year contract with PSG.
