Former Portugal national team and Real Madrid strategist Carlos Queiroz rejected a last-minute offer to coach the Iranian national team.
Although both parties were close to reaching an agreement, the 57-year-old specialist decided not to sign a contract because his family was not willing to move to Tehran.
According to "Goal.com", Queiroz is expected to continue his career by taking over the Saudi Arabia national team.
Queiroz has also coached the national teams of United Arab Emirates, South Africa, and served as an assistant to the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.
