Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon shared his thoughts and stated that any team must try to keep a player like Angel Di Maria.
All summer long, the 26-year-old footballer has been linked with a move away from Madrid. It seems that next week, Real will sell him to Manchester United for a record 70 million euros.
However, despite the impressive sum, R. Calderon believes that this is a painful blow for the Real club.
"When a player like Di Maria is playing in the team, you have to try to keep him," said the Spaniard. "It seems he was unhappy in Madrid, so he will leave in the coming days, and I don't like that."
The former president also added: "Usually, clubs that have very good players do not sell them."
A. Di Maria arrived at the royal club in 2010 and was arguably the best in the team last season.
