Legendary "Arsenal" footballer Dennis Bergkamp will have to seek new work.
Amsterdam's "Ajax" team officially announced that they have suspended and will soon terminate the contracts of the club's head coach Marcel Keizer and his assistants Hennie Spijkerman and the aforementioned Bergkamp.
The reins of the famous club will temporarily be taken over by the youth team strategists Michael Reiziger and Winston Bogarde.
In the local league, "Ajax" currently holds the second place, trailing PSV by five points.
General director of the Amsterdam team, Edwin van der Sar, stated that the decision was made together with another club official, Marc Overmars - these Dutchmen, along with D.Bergkamp, have long defended the colors of their national team.
"Last summer we played poorly, and the start of the season was shaky. We reached our lowest point by being eliminated from the competition on the Old Continent.
We cannot guarantee that this decision will bring back the glory days for "Ajax", but we thank Marcel, Dennis and Hennie for their work."
