Longtime president of Madrid's "Real" club Florentino Perez confirmed that they are interested in Marco Reus, but acknowledges that there is not much room in the current team.
Foreign press increasingly talks about UEFA Champions League winners leading the race for the signature of Dortmund's "Borussia" forward, and the German himself has already started learning Spanish.
"We are following Reus, as well as other excellent players," Perez said in an interview. "I don't know what the coach thinks, but I don't know what would need to be removed to make room for Reus."
"Of course, anything can happen and maybe we will need to acquire him under special circumstances, but in January there should not be any new purchases.
"If a deal is reached with Lucas Silva, he will not join the team until after the season," added the 67-year-old "Real" leader.
