In another match, Guinea lost 1:2 to New Zealand.

In Group B, Argentina lost 1:2 to Morocco, while Iraq defeated Ukraine 2:1.

In Group C, Spain defeated Uzbekistan 2:1, while Egypt drew 0:0 with the Dominican Republic.

In Group D, Japan crushed Paraguay 5:0, and Mali and Israel shared points (1:1).
