Prestigious French football newspaper "France Football" revealed details of the upcoming 2019 best ceremony.
On December 2nd in Paris, the ceremony for the best football players will be held at the Chatelet Theatre. The main award - "Ballon d'Or" will be presented during the ceremony.
Last year, "France Football" included a nomination for the women's "Golden Ball" in the awards ceremony, as well as the "Kopa" trophy, which is awarded to the best young footballer (U-21).
This year, a new nomination has been added to the awards - the "Yachine" trophy. It will be awarded to the best goalkeeper of the year.
All candidates to win these four awards will be announced on October 21st.
30 footballers will be vying for the men's "Ballon d'Or" award. The list will also be made up of the best player of the year chosen by 180 independent journalists from around the world.
There will be 10 footballers in the list of candidates for the "Kopa" and "Yachine" trophies.
Let's remind that last year's "Ballon d'Or" award was won by Luka Modric, ending Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo's 10-year dominance.
