Today in Europe, another friendly match was played.
The European champions, France, played against the surprisingly left-out Netherlands team at the tournament. "Les Bleus", aiming to become the strongest team in the summer, immediately started demonstrating their strength and took a 2-0 lead already in the 13th minute after goals from Antoine Griezmann and Olivier Giroud.
The Dutch managed to equalize - at the beginning of the second half Luuk De Jong scored, and in the 86th minute Ibrahim Afellay equalized.
However, just a few moments later, France expanded their lead through midfielder Blaise Matuidi.
In another match, Ireland defeated Switzerland with a minimal advantage. Interestingly, Ciaran Clark scored the only goal of the match in the second minute.
Our neighbors Belarus drew with Armenia, while Latvia also drew with Slovakia with the same result.
Meanwhile, Bulgaria surprisingly defeated Portugal 1-0.
