After an unsuccessful season, Amsterdam's "Ajax" terminated the contract with the head coach Frank de Boer by mutual agreement.
The 45-year-old Dutchman had been leading the Amsterdam team since November 2010. Together with "Ajax" he managed to win the Dutch championship four times in almost six years, but this season "Ajax" unexpectedly lost the title to PSV in the last round.
De Boer's contract with "Ajax" was supposed to be valid until 2017, but after two years without the Dutch champion's title, "Ajax" decided to make changes.
According to local media, the coach will not be without job for long and several famous clubs are already interested in him. De Boer was previously linked with London's "Tottenham", but the North London club is currently successfully led by Mauricio Pochettino.
However, the "Daily Mirror" claims that De Boer is close to reaching an agreement with Liverpool's "Everton". The Toffees are not satisfied with this season's results, so they are likely to part ways with Roberto Martinez after the season.
