Liono „Olympique“ received a solid reinforcement - the team was supplemented by a 32-year-old defender from Germany Jerome Boateng as a free agent. J. Boateng's contract with Munich's „Bayern“ team ended after the last season, and since then the German has been looking for a team and training at the training center of the German team. Eventually, the center-back found a team and from now on J. Boateng will play in the „Ligue 1“ championship in France, where he will represent the Lyon „Olympique“ team. Just a few years ago, one could say that J. Boateng was dismissed, but then the newly arrived „Bayern“ coach H. Flick found a place for him in the starting lineup, and later Jerome triumphed with the German team in both the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League. Over the past two seasons, the German of Ghanaian descent has played 69 matches in all tournaments and has certainly contributed to many of „Bayern“'s victories during that time.
