On Sunday, two matches were played in the Bundesliga and changes occurred at the top of the league table. Up until the 7th round of the Bundesliga, the players of Berlin's "Union" found themselves at the top, defeating the "Koln" team 1-0 away. The winning goal came very early, in just the 3rd minute, an own goal scored by "Koln" defender Timo Hubers. In the 10th minute, "Union" had a chance to double the lead, but Jordan Siebatcheu failed to convert a penalty kick. In the 81st minute, "Koln" defender Luca Killian received a red card after a second yellow, further reducing his team's chances to gain an extra point.

The other match ended in a goalless draw, with "Freiburg" playing 0-0 at home against the team of Menchengladbach's "Borussia". However, both "Freiburg" and "Union" currently occupy the top spots in the league table after 6 rounds in the Bundesliga.
