The French sports newspaper "L'Equipe" reports that defender Laurent Koscielny is nearing an agreement on a new contract with London's Arsenal.
The 31-year-old footballer arrived in the English capital from Lorient in 2010 and has since become one of the main pillars of the team.
Now the Frenchman is the vice-captain of the Gunners and they want to keep him in their ranks until 2020.
Currently, Koscielny's contract is valid until the end of this season, but it is reported that he would like to continue playing for Arsenal until the end of his career.
The new contract could be officially announced before Arsenal's match against Paris Saint-Germain taking place on Wednesday.
