In the prestigious "France Football" magazine survey, the best French footballer of 2013 was elected, and it was the national team and Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery.
The 30-year-old player, who belongs to the Bavarian team, outperformed two rivals in these polls - Paul Pogba (Juventus) and Blaise Matuidi (PSG).
F. Ribery has won this award for the third time. Earlier, the Frenchman triumphed in these polls in 2007 and 2008.
The footballer is also competing for another personal title - the "Ballon d'Or" award. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are also contenders to win this trophy.
Last season, together with the Bayern winger, he triumphed in three tournaments - the UEFA Champions League, the German Cup, and the Bundesliga championship.
This season, F. Ribery is playing excellently and scored 11 goals in 19 games played.
