FC Bayern Munich's security guard Franck Ribery revealed that he was wanted by French legend Zinedine Zidane to join Real Madrid.
The footballer, who's aspiring to win the Ballon d'Or award, claims that he was not only of interest to the royal club, but also to Barcelona.
"Both Barcelona and Real are big clubs and there was a time when both of these clubs were interested in me," Ribery insisted.
"I liked both teams, but I felt a stronger attraction towards the Madrid team. Zinedine wanted to see me at Real Madrid and did everything to make it happen."
"But now this opportunity no longer interests me, because Bayern is like family to me," said the Frenchman, who has been playing for Bayern Munich since 2007. The footballer cost the Bavarian team 25 million euros at the time.
