Former German national team midfielder Torsten Frings is leaving the club in Bremen after six years.
The 34-year-old veteran's contract expires in June, and the footballer did not receive an offer to extend it.
"I have to come to terms with it," said Frings to the "Kreiszeitung Syke." "It's a pity because I wanted to leave after a more successful season.
In the press, I was accused of being most interested in money. That's a lie. I had nothing to accept or reject - no one offered me anything."
